NESHAP for Clay Ceramics
Manufacturing, Glass Manufacturing and Secondary Nonferrous Metals
Processing Area Sources (40 CFR part 63, subparts RRRRRR, SSSSSS,
and TTTTTT) (Final Rule)
New
collection (Request for a new OMB Control Number)
EPA is promulgating national emission
standards for hazardous air pollutants (NESHAP) for the Clay
Ceramics Manufacturing, Glass Manufacturing and Secondary
Nonferrous Metals Processing area source categories. The proposed
standards include emission limits and/or management practices for
new and existing plants based on the generally available control
technology (GACT) and management practices for the area source
categories, as well as associated monitoring requirements.
Potential respondents subject to the area source NESHAP include an
estimated 51 existing clay ceramics manufacturing facilities, 21
existing glass manufacturing facilities, and 10 existing secondary
nonferrous metals processing facilities. The total annual responses
attributable to this ICR include two one-time notifications for
each existing facility. The owner or operator would be required to
submit the initial notifications by the compliance date, based on
requirements in the proposed rule. No burden estimates are provided
for new area sources because no new facilities are expected to be
affected sources during the next 3 years.
