The National Survey of Family Growth
(NSFG) will be conducted by personal interview among a sample of
approximately 4,000 men and women annually. Eight (8) small
revisions are being made to the questionnaires. These new questions
fill gaps in the previous questionnaire. The changes constitute
less than one percent of the data. Additionally, the request
documents the completion of an experiment in incentives and sets an
incentive schedule for the survey.
Eight (8) small revisions to
the questionnaire are being made. These new questions fill gaps in
the previous questionnaire. The changes constitute less than one
percent of the data. Based on the first 18 months of the survey,
the estimated annual burden is decreased by 275 hours due to better
estimate of the time needed to conduct the survey. This decrease
includes the time needed for the 8 extra questions documented in
this request.
