with 5 CFR 1320, this information collection is approved for
grading and verification programs (QVSP) currently in existence. In
the next submission to OMB, the agency should list all programs for
which the forms will be used. If USDA develops additional
verification programs, they should seek approval through the
processes described in 5 CFR 1320.

The application meat grading,
certification and QSVP services authorizes USDA employees to
perform such services in requesting establishments. The information
contained on the applications also serve as a legal agreement
between parties.

LS-313 and LS-315 forms have
been revised since the last submission to eliminate personal
identification data. Additionally, the forms were modified slightly
to reorganize the flow of information thereby allowing more
efficient and timely preparation. With this submission, there is a
decrease of -70 burden hours.
