Notes:
1.
The type 9 record must pass all edits and be accepted to establish the fund designation for the eligible
crop insurance contract. The type 9 record will be processed independently from all other record types.
Once a type 9 is accepted for policy/crop/county into a fund it doesn’t need to be resent, unless to timely
modify the fund designation.
2.

If the Sales Closing Date used for fund designations varies by Plan, Type or
Practice, the DAS lookup will use them to determine the Sales Closing Date if submitted, otherwise
DAS will use the earliest Sales Closing Date for the county/crop/plan code to establish the fund
cutoff date.

3.

If the Fund Designation cutoff date is later than the ‘normal’ cutoff date due to: a written
agreement, a written agreement date (field 27), written agreement number, written agreement type,
written agreement processing flag and written agreement year flag of “Y” are required. All written
agreement information must be correct to be accepted into the ISAM.
Rate State and Rate County can only be different from Location State and County if a written agreement
is in effect. ADM 3 lookup is based on Rate State/Rate County.

4.

Accepted Type 9 Records will be in the “.acp” and “.fun” output files.

5.

A change in fund designation will be allowed for spring crops before the spring cutoff date if:
The state/county/crop has multiple sales closing dates by spring or fall types and the AIP
submitted a 9 record before fall cutoff date (with or without a fall type) and insured is not planting the fall
type. Resubmitting the 9 record with a spring type will be allowed and the fund designation cutoff
will be calculated from the spring sales closing date. Also, a zero acreage report for the fall type needs to
sent.
