This is a request for a generic
clearance for the National Center for Education Statistics to
conduct various procedures to test questionnaires and survey
procedures. These procedures include but are not limited to
experiments with levels of incentives for various types of survey
operations, focus groups, cognitive laboratory activities, pilot
testing, experiments with questionnaire design, and usability
testing of electronic data collection instruments.
This increase in responses and
hours are due to including the Cognitive Study to Test the
Feasibility of Tracking Principals' Employment Status
questionnaires as part of this generic clearance. Hours were
increased to allow for a sufficient burden allotment for the
year.
