Using Information Technology
The National Transit Database has a simplified reporting structure that has greatly reduced the number of required forms. Internet reporting, pre-loading data, streamlined validations and other improvements are the primary reasons why FTA has successfully reduced the burden hours for this program while at the same time increasing the reporting requirements.
