The MMS uses the information to
determine the conditions of a drilling site. This is necessary to
prevent the hazards inherent in drilling operations and to increase
the margin of safety of personnel and the environment. Respondents
are outer continental shelf Federal oil and gas and sulphur
lessees.
This submission requests an
adjustment change.Currently, Form MMS-144 has its own, individual
information collection (1010-0150, expiration 4/30/2011, 187 burden
hours). With this submission, we will incorporate this form into
its primary subpart, 30 CFR part 250, subpart D, Oil and Gas
Drilling Operations (1010-0141).Under regulations at § 250.403(c),
it states, In the Gulf of Mexico OCS Region, you must report
drilling unit movements on form MMS-144, Rig Movement Notification
Report.Once OMB has approved this request, MMS will discontinue
the 1010-0150 collection.
