MMS uses the information to determine
the conditions of a drilling site. This is necessary to prevent the
hazards inherent in drilling operations and to increase the margin
of safety of personnel and the environment. Respondents are outer
continental shelf Federal oil and gas and sulphur lessees.
The adjustments are:(a) The
current OMB inventory for 1010-0141 includes 163,954 burden hours.
In this submission, we are requesting a total of 146,827 hours.
This represents an adjustment decrease of 17,127 hours. The
decrease is due to re-estimating the avg number of annual responses
and the amount of time required to respond.(b) The current OMB
non-hour cost burden inventory is $2,996,334.In this submission, we
are requesting a total of $1,789,340. This represents an adjustment
decrease of $1,206,994.The decrease is due to re-estimating the
average number of annual responses times its associated non-hour
cost burden.
