designed to collect timely information on International portfolio
capital movements, including U.S. residents' holdings of, and
transactions in, financial derivatives contracts with foreign
residents. The information will be used in the computation of the
U.S. balance of payments accounts and international investments
position, as well as in the formulation of U.S. International
financial and monetary policies.

The total overall decrease of
1,290 hours is the result of a decrease of 1,220 hours due to
program changes (increase in the reporting threshold, described in
section 5 of support statement) that cause a decrease in the number
of respondents, and a decrease of 70 hours due to a decrease in the
estimated time needed to review the form.
