The U.S. Department of Education Reading First program has no formal mechanism for grantees to report on specific uses of grant funds. The proposed survey will collect data on the use and allocation of Reading First grants from current SEA grantees and their LEA subgrantees. Collecting such information will help satisfy the informational needs of key stakeholders, and inform future grant-making efforts.
