SURVEY OF READING FIRST LEA SUBGRANT FUNDS

Purpose of this survey: The Reading First Program (RF), authorized by the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) of 1965, as amended by the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 (NCLB), provides funds to State educational agencies (SEAs) to help states and local educational agencies (LEAs) use scientifically based reading research to improve reading instruction from kindergarten through third grade to achieve the goal of all children reading at grade level by the third grade. The purpose of this survey is to learn how LEAs use these funds.

Instructions:

This survey is being conducted by RMC Research Corporation on behalf of the U.S. Department of Education. All responses will remain confidential, i.e., only RMC staff will see your individual responses.
