Abstract: This forms allows an alien seeking to enter the U.S. as a student or exchange visitor who does not have proper documents to enter for 30 days to obtain the required documents and submit them to the office of jurisdiction over the applicant's school.

Short Statement: SEVP has been aggressive in addressing the root causes for the issuance of I-515s by directing specific informational and educational materials to students and EVs encouraging them to handcarry travel documents. SEVP issued a Fact Sheet this June encouraging schools to include such information, as well as instructions in how to complete an I-94, in their registration materials. SEVP believes that such efforts are the key in the mitigation of burden hours.

On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that the collection of information encompassed by this request complies with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR 1320.8(b)(3).
