SUBJECT: Request for ReinstatementRevision of the Currently Approved Annual and Final Performance Report Collection Package for the Graduate Assistance in Areas of National Need (GAANN) Program – CFDA No. 84.200A
Attached please find the information clearance collection for OMB 1840-0748, the Annual and Final Performance Report collection package for the GAANN Program. The currently approved collection package is set to expire on May 31, 2009. The information collected in these reports provides Program Staff with an opportunity to monitor the progress of grantee institutions and to collect Annual and Final programmatic data as required under the provisions of the GAANN Program regulations (34 CFR 648) and the Government Performance and Results Act.
The Annual and Final Performance Reports have been revised as a result of the feedback received from Program Oversight and grantee institutions. The Annual and Final Performance Report documents are essentially the same except that the Final Performance Report requires grantee institutions to update the educational status of all students who have received GAANN funding over the life of the grant. As a result of these revisions, Program Staff will have an opportunity to track graduation rates and the employment status of GAANN students while monitoring and reporting on the progress of grantee institutions.
The Information Collection Submission Worksheets Part I and Part II have been included in this collection package along with other required documentation.
