Abstract: Federal law (5 U.S.C. 8501-8509) provides unemployment insurance protection to formerly or partially unemployed current Federal Civilian employees. The forms in the Handbook are used in conjunction with the provisions of the Unemployment Compensation for Federal Employees Act Program.
