Short Statement: There has been an increase of 888,000 burden hours. This increase can be attributed to the popularity of the USCIS Case Status Service Online compared with a 2005 review and 2003 initial estimate. Initially it was estimated that there would be 1,000,000 respondents a year. The initial estimate was far to low.

On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that the collection of information encompassed by this request complies with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR 1320.8(b)(3).
