Sections 101.1011, 101.1325(b), 101.1327(a), 101.527, 101.529, and 101.103, Substantial Service Showing for Local Multipoint Distribution Service, 24 GHz and Multiple Address System
Section 101.103, Frequency Coordination Procedures include reporting requirements and third party disclosure burdens. Section 101.1011, Construction Requirements and Criteria for Renewal Expectancy requires Local Multipoint Distribution Service (LMDS) licensees seeking renewal must submit a showing to explain why renewal of the license is warranted. Renewal applications must be filed once every ten years.
The Commission is revising this collection to include certain collections which had formerly been approved by OMB under different OMB control numbers. There are no changes to the reporting and third party disclosure requirements. This submission seeks OMB approval to renew the reporting and third party disclosure requirements in the Local Multipoint Distribution Service (LMDS) pursuant to sections 101.103 and 101.1011 and to consolidate similar reporting requirements imposed on Multiple Address System (MAS) Economic Area (EA) licensees pursuant to 101.1325, 101.1327 and 24 GHz EA licensees pursuant to sections 101.527 and 101.529. The Commission has re-estimated some of the burdens associated with this information collection and is now reporting a 2,133 hourly decrease in the total burden and an increase of $358,000 in annual costs which is due because most of the respondents will use outside consultants to consult and prepare the information submitted to the Commission.
