Attached is the Information Collection Request (ICR), Return A-Monthly Return of Offenses Known to the Police and Supplement to Return A-Monthly Return of Offenses Known to the Police, for extension of a currently approved collection and submission to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB). The requirements of this collection are prescribed by Title 28, Section 534, U.S. Code. These forms are the means by which Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) Program participating law enforcement agencies report monthly data relating to Part I offenses, offense breakdowns, and the monetary value of property stolen and recovered. Following auditing and processing, the data are published annually in semiannual and preliminary reports and Crime in the United States.
