This program adjustment is due to a decrease in the estimated annual burden hours from 4,529 to 4,056 and a change in the estimated total annual responses from 96,298 to 134,540 for the current insurance filing activity and registration information requirements. Revisions to labor costs reflect the most current data available on wages, fringe benefits, and overhead. Last, the previously approved supporting statement erroneously counted the number of motor carriers subject to financial responsibility requirements as respondents. In fact, the forms that comprise this information collection are completed and filed on the carriers’ behalf by a small number of insurers. The number of respondents has been revised down accordingly to reflect this.
