Abstract: This data collection is conducted to fulfill the mandate specified in Section 575 of the National Flood Insurance Reform Act of 1994. The information also enables FEMA to be more responsive to ongoing changes affecting flood hazard areas that occur in communities participating in the National Flood Insurance Program. Respondents consist of local government officials.

Short Statement: The number of respondents expected to respond has decreased since the last submission due to review of previous number of responses received. The cost decrease is do to the use of the figures from a table in the last supporting statement that was meant to show how the mean value of respondents wages was calculated. This value should not have included this but only the cost for mailing (currently $550)

On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that the collection of information encompassed by this request complies with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR 1320.8(b)(3).
