USDA Food, Nutrition and Consumer Services (FNCS) plans to launch the Innovations for Healthy Kids Challenge on March 8, 2010 to support President Obama's Open Government Initiative. The Challenge invites developers, programmers, highly motivated gamers and the general public to develop educational games and applications that are based on the FNCS DataSet.
Due to the Initiative being launched March 8, 2010, the Agency did not have a chance to publish a 60day Federal Register Notice. For this reason, CNPP is requesting emergency approval by March 2, 2010 for this new information collection. The White House Office of Science Technology Policy (OSTP) and USDA Food, Nutrition and Consumer Services (FNCS) plans to launch the Innovations for Healthy Kids Challenge to support President Obama’s Open Government Initiative.
