Abstract: The Part 1 rules have been amended to include a new category of registrant - retail foreign exchange dealers (RFEDs)- among the entities required to submit financial statements. These rules are intended to provide the Commission with data so that it can monitor the financial condition of intermediaries operating in the futures and retail forex markets and take steps to avoid systemic risk to others in the market place should a particular firm experience difficulties.
