In an FCC Order, FCC 10-79, the Commisison grants, with conditions, 21 waiver petitions filed by public safety entities seeking early deployment of satewide or local public safety broadband networks in the 700 MHz spectrum. One of the conditions for such waivers is the submission of the petitioner's interoperability plans will help ensure interoperability and roaming among these early deployments. The Commission is seeking emergency OMB approval of this information by June 11, 2010.
The Commission seeks OMB approval for interoperability plans to the Commission's Emergency Response Interoperability Center (ERIC) and a certification by petitioners that their vendors are participating activly in the PSCR/DC Demonstration etwork which will provde an open platform for development and testing of public safety 700 MHz LTE broadband equipment.
