RMC will use existing administrative data to collect data from all applicants, including grantees; this will eliminate the need to ask questions of applicants that they have answered elsewhere. For example, RMC’s review of these data will permit analyses of applicants based on characteristics such as geographic location, type of projects proposed, institution size, and so on. Further, pre-populating the online survey with these administrative data will aid respondents in recalling information relevant to their application experience, and reduce the burden of completing the survey.
