The supporting statement for this generic clearance describes eight data collections that will be the basis for several research projects belonging to the 2010 Census Program for Evaluations and Experiments. The Census Bureau will use the research results to guide the design of the next decennial census and, as appropriate, other Census Bureau programs. Most of the research projects aim to randomly select a nationally representative sample of decennial census respondents so results are appropriately generalizable for planning purposes, however, the specific objectives of the research project dictates the precise sample design.
