National banks file Call Reports
pursuant to 12 U.S.C. 161 and other statutes. The data are used to
evaluate and monitor the financial condition and earnings
performance of individual banks as well as the entire banking
industry. This submission involves the changes to the Call Report
related to the Transaction Account Guarantee Program. In response
to the modification of the basis upon which a participating
institution's assessment is calculated for TAG program-related
accounts in the FDIC's rule, the agencies are making a conforming
change to the Call Report.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies

1320.8(b)(3).
