The regulations expand the requirement that foreign graduate medical schools identify all clinical locations utilized by its students, with explicit exceptions. The regulations also add that a foreign graduate medical school must notify the Department within 10 days that it adds a location that provides a portion of its clinical training unless the program is accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) or meets an additional explicit exception.
The regulations add new requirements for foreign graduate medical schools to provide additional information about all clinical locations to the Department, unless the location meets explicit exemption. These new requirements account for the overall program change burden increase of 43 hours.
