The information collection required
for H-1B Cap Registration is necessary for petitioners to make
their intentions to apply for an H-1B number in a particular fiscal
year known to USCIS. After the closing date, USCIS will run a
random selection process and notify the lottery winners. Upon
selection in the lottery system, a petitioner will be invited to
submit a Form I-129 for adjudication of an H-1B visa.
This is a new information
collection related to the Proposed Rule: Registration Requirement
for Petitioners Filing H-1B Petitions on Behalf of Aliens Subject
to the Numerical Limitations; RIN 1615-AB71
