Public Law 103-160 authorized the
Department of Transportation to convey to public entities, surplus
and excess Federal real and related personal property needed for
development or operation of a port facility. The requested
information is required to evaluate the need for the property.
Compliance data is required on a yearly basis to determine that
conveyed property is being used in accordance with the terms of the
conveyance.

The number of properties that
have been made available for inclusion in the Port Conveyance
Program has decreased, which in turn, decreased the number of
applications and the overall annual burden hours.
