Section 102(b) of the CPSIA requires certifications of compliance with safety standards for each product subject to a consumer product safety rule, ban, standard or regulation promulgated and/or enforced by CPSC. The rule imposes recordkeeping requirements related to those testing and certification requirements.This ICR was submitted to OMB at the NPR stage. Final rule has now published in Federal Register 11/8/2011.
Based on comments we received on the proposed rule, we have revised the estimated number of children's products that are affected, as well as revised the hourly compensation rate. See supporting statement for further details.
