Abstract: To improve HIV prevention, it is critical to understand the needs of those not receiving prevention services. This project collects behavioral data at public events serving specific high-risk populations and to increase the proportion of at-risk persons who are aware of their HIV status. This data collection extends the geographic reach of HIV behavioral surveillance to small and medium sized cities. The data will be used to develop a more comprehensive characterization of high-risk behaviors among African Americans and MSM.
