“Best Friends”

Open on young, sharp dressed guy in an interview. It’s going well. From offcamera, a hand comes in and swipes all the stuff off the interviewer’s desk
onto the floor, making a mess.
Cut to wider shot: we see next to our young man is an imbecile, embarrassing, oaf of a guy (think John C. Reilly or Zack Galifikanis), handcuffed to him.

Cut to new scene: Our young man is pulling cash out of his wallet to pay for
a newspaper at a magazine stand. The goofy oaf, (still handcuffed to him),
grabs his money and throws it in the air and laughs hysterically as it blows
away in the wind.

Interviewer: “Everything alright?”

Cut to new scene:   It’s a sobriety checkpoint. We see our “guy” getting
handcuffed.

Cut to new scene: Our guy is getting in his car, ready to start the engine. the
oaf grabs the keys and throws them out the window into a pond or lake.

ANNCR: “You don’t want a DUI. It will follow you everywhere. Don’t even
take a chance because cops are stepping up enforcement everywhere.
Cut to back of cop car. Our “guy” slides in next to oaf.
oaf: “We’re gonna’ be best friends”.
