This information collection is for the
electronic collection of data for CDC fellowships through the
Fellowship Management System (FMS). The target audience is
professionals in public health, epidemiology, medicine, and other
fields applying for fellowships at CDC. FMS will allow fellowships
applicants and alumni to update their information online, in a
single database. The needs to track alumni in a secure, online
directory include: in a national public health emergency, the
agency will have accessible contact information of alumni with
mission-critical skills. CDC will have data to document the impact
of the fellowships on the career paths of participants, and on the
science and practice of public health. And, alumni will benefit
with networks for job finding, staffing, and collaborating. FMS
provides an efficient and integrated system and promotes the use of
secure data and system standards to improve data
collection.
