Critical Customer Data is required in
order to identify USDA program participants and ensure that
benefits are directed to the correct customer and respective Tax
Identification Numbers.
In its previous submission, the
agency estimated the burden hours of this collection to be 24,323.
This estimate incorrectly included travel times to USDA centers to
fill out the form. The form is actually filled out while customers
are conducting other business at USDA centers and, thus it is not
appropriate to include travel times in this estimate. We are
therefore making a adjustment by reducing the burden hours by
15,525. The total estimated burden is now 8,798.
