Stimulating U.S. Jobs from Exports and Investments in the Asia-Pacific Region -- Participants will
discuss the critical role that exports and investments play in creating U.S. jobs and provide
recommendations and policy input for the International Trade Administration (ITA) Asia strategy and
the Trade Promotion Coordinating Committee (TPCC) interagency Asia campaign.
Export Financing and Project Financing in the Asia-Pacific Region -- The dialogue will serve as a
brief overview of the financing programs that are available from both the Export-Import (Ex-Im) Bank
and the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC). The discussion will involve a case study
from both OPIC and Ex-Im borrowers, key challenges, and opportunities in accessing, financing, and
contracting opportunities.

Solving Complex Development Challenges in the Asia-Pacific Region -- Approximately two thirds
of the world’s poor population (defined as living on less than $2 per day) live in Asia. Experts will
compile ideas from AAPI business leaders on investment opportunities and partnerships involving
housing, rural water delivery, maternal health, primary education and financial services.
Defense Contracting Opportunities Supporting Re-balance to the Asia-Pacific Region -- Defense
contracting opportunities in a range of industries have expanded as the U.S. rebalances its focus in
the Asia-Pacific region. Experts and AAPI business leaders will discuss the prime position AAPI
business leaders have to supply critical goods and services to support the U.S. military infrastructure
in the region.
