The proposals in Release No. 33-9164 would implement Section 1503 of the Dodd-Frank Act. The changes in burden of Form 8-K relate to proposed new disclosure requirements about mine safety matters. These disclosure requirements implement Section 1503 of the Dodd-Frank Act, which requires filing of a Form 8-K disclosing receipt of specified mine safety and health orders and notices. The change in burden for Form 8-K corresponds to the new disclosure requirements. We estimate the proposal will result in an annual time burden increase of 214 hours and an increase in the cost burden of $28,500 for services of outside professionals.
