This information collection is necessary to determine whether an organization meets the regulatory and relevant case law requirements for recognition by EOIR's Board of Immigration Appeals as a legal service provider, which would then allow it to seek full or partial accreditation for its representative(s) to practice before EOIR and/or the Department of Homeland Security.

Miscellaneous Actions
The difference in hour burden from the previous Information Collection Request is due to an agency adjustment, specifically a decrease in the number of respondents. Previously, EOIR estimated 110 respondents annually. At present, there are approximately 105 respondents annually. As the number of hours per response remained the same (2 hours), the total burden decreased from 220 to 210. The difference in the estimate of the cost burden is also due to the decrease in the number of respondents, as well as a change in how the agency calculated the cost of responding.
