Short Statement: This is an extension of a
previously approved collection. There have not been any program
changes. The following adjustments have been made: Number of
Respondents has been adjusted to 210 to reflect the number of
Ginnie Mae issuers that are actively doing business. A reassessment
of the volume of responses and the frequency of responses per year
has been made. Originally the burden calculation was based on the
number of participants; however, the size of participants varies
greatly. There are Issuers with very large portfolios and others
with relatively small portfolios. Part of Ginnie Mae's collection
is participant driven and the other is volume driven. This
distinction was made clear in the Federal Register Notice.
Therefore the total burden has increased significantly; however it
is a more accurate reflection.
