TCommission is proposing a safety
standard for infant swings that incorporates by reference, with
some modifications, the voluntary standard for infant swings issued
by ASTM International, ASTM F 2088-11b. Sections 8.1 and 9.1 of
ASTM F 2088-11b contain requirements for marking, labeling, and
instructional literature that are disclosure requirements. Section
9.1 of ASTM F 2088-11b requires all firms supplying swings to
provide written, easy-to-read instructions regarding assembly,
maintenance, cleaning, and use.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
