Information is needed to forecast the expected tart cherry crop in Pennsylvania. Response to this survey is voluntary and not required by law, but your reply to the questions on this form will be very helpful. Individual reports will be kept confidential. Please return this inquiry promptly. Thank you for your cooperation.

Definitions:
Bearing Acreage: Acres from which you will harvest tart cherries this year. Include blocks you rent from others, and exclude blocks rented out. Deduct any waste area within blocks.
Expected Production: The total pounds you anticipate harvesting. Consider the current condition of your orchards, and assume average weather and pest infestations until harvest.
Expected Percent of Full Crop: A full crop is the yield you would expect to achieve under normal production conditions. This yield may or may not be the maximum production potential for your operation. Therefore, your Expected Percent of Full Crop may exceed 100%. Example: You project a mature block should produce 2500 pounds/acre and you estimate this year it will produce 3000 pounds/acre or 120% of a full crop. |
