Dear Fruit Producer:

Your cooperation is needed to help set 2009 production estimates. Your report is very important because our statistical sampling procedure allows it to represent a percentage of the other producers. Please report on the peach crop condition in your locality. Your report will be used in preparing the July 1 peach production estimate.

Response to this survey is voluntary and not required by law. However, cooperation is very important in order to accurately estimate fruit production in Ohio.

Use the enclosed envelope for your reply--no stamp is needed. By law (Section 1770 Food Security Act of 1985) your report to us is confidential and may be used only for statistical purposes by this office. Please reply promptly.

Condition: Please report the condition of fruit crops now, as compared with prospects for a full crop. Let 100 percent represent a full crop you would expect if there were no damage from unfavorable weather, insects, diseases, etc. Only use letter (F) to indicate a complete crop failure. Bearing acreage refers to the number of acres of peaches you expect to harvest this year. Bearing age trees refers to the number of trees that are at a fruit bearing age.
