Survey of Northeast Regional and Intercity Household Travel Attitudes and Behavior

Paperwork Reduction Act Burden Statement:

The US Department of Transportation, Federal Railroad Administration is conducting this survey to collect data on travel patterns along the Northeast Corridor. This information will be used to estimate a forecasting model of travel mode choice in the Northeast Corridor. . The information obtained will be used to provide guidance to future service planning. 49 USC 103 (j)(5)‑(6) authorizes collection of this information. A federal agency may not conduct or sponsor, and a person is not required to respond to, nor shall a person be subject to a penalty for failure to comply with a collection of information subject to the requirements of the Paperwork Reduction Act unless that collection of information displays a currently valid OMB Control Number. The OMB Control Number for this information collection is 21XX-XXXX. Public reporting for this collection of information is estimated to be approximately 5 minutes per response for the first telephone survey. You may be asked to participate in a follow-up survey that is estimated to require 15 minutes per response for a total of 20 minutes. These time estimates, include the time for reviewing instructions and providing responses. All responses to this collection of information are voluntary.
