Abstract: The purpose of this experiment is to test the effects of two prospective enhancements to the Medicare Plan Finder (MPF) website. We refer to these prospective enhancements as the "Quick Links" and "enhanced data display."The Quick Links home page, which was developed as an alternative to the current MPF home page, is intended to provide a quick overview of all of the most common uses of MPF data, a succinct explanation of each of those uses, and a direct conduit to comparative data on plans. The enhanced data display is designed as a more consumer-friendly alternative to the current data display. In particular, the enhanced data display is meant to make plan data more easily evaluable and operable, and to draw greater attention to plan quality data.
