Under Title 42 USC 3722, National Institute of Justice, would request teen dating violence information from youth in order to show that it is critical that the conceptualization that researchers and practitioners use to define relationship abuse resonates with the population to which the definitions are being applied. To understand how youth views of teen dating relationship characteristics (both healthy and unhealthy aspects) is different from or similar to adult views the National Institute of Justice and the Federal Interagency Workgroup on Teen Dating VIolence are undertaking a study using concept mapping.
