This survey estimates the number of
recreation visits that occur on lands in the National Forest System
used to report on an annual basis to Congress on the agency's
effectiveness in utilizing appropriated funds. This request also
includes extension of the NVUM survey protocol to Department of
Interior Bureau of Land Management.
There is an overall decrease of
1,820 in the estimated number of respondents per year from 62,900
to 61,080. FS has an increase of 180 respondents but this was
offset with the removel of the separate DOI Information Collection
for Southern NV with 2,000 respondents and 308 burden hours. Burden
hour estimates have been reduced by 74 hours from 9,068 to 8,994 in
response to the reduced number of respondents.
