The information collected on this form is used by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to determine whether the applicant is eligible for a discretionary relief under section 212(c) of the Immigration and Nationality Act.
There has been an increase of 225 burden hours previously reported for this information collection. This change can be attributed to an increase in the time burden from 15 minutes (0.25 hours) to 60 minutes (1 hours). The previous estimated time burden was re-evaluated to better account for the time it would take an average respondent to review the instructions, gather necessary documentation and information, and complete the form and any statements, based on an adjustment in agency estimates. There are no changes to the information being collected.
