The proposed collection will provide the first national-level estimates of body armor use by officers within state and federal correctional facilities and will identify key barriers to the use of armor. Both a facility-level and a correctional officer-level survey will be conducted to understand issues regarding body armor that occur at the facility level and measure the knowledge, attitude, and behavior of individual correctional officers regarding body armor.
