Abstract: The Customs Declaration, CBP Form 6059-B, facilitates the clearance of persons and their goods arriving in the U.S. by requiring basic information necessary for CBP to determine enforcement of all applicable laws and regulations. As a result of recent rulemaking regarding "Members of a Family for Purpose of Filing a CBP Family Declaration", CBP has revised the estimated number of responses and the burden hours for this collection of information.

Emergency Justfication: This information collection requested is being submitted in association with A Final Rule entitled “Members of a Family for Purpose of Filing a CBP Family Declaration” that was published on December 18, 2013 (Volume 78, Page 76529).

Short Statement: As a result of recent rulemaking for "Members of a Family for Purpose of Filing a CBP Family Declaration", the burden hours are adjusted as follows: -There was a decrease of 1.1 million in the number of responses (from 105,606,000 to 104,506,000 responses). -There was a decrease of 73,700 burden hours (from 7,075,602 to 7,001,902 hours). There are no changes to the data collected or to CBP Form 6059B.
