Under 18 USC 925, 26 USC 5844 and 22 USC 2778, ATF requires importers to complete ATF F 6 (5330.3A) Part 1. The collection is used to determine whether firearms, ammunition and implements of war are eligible for importation into the United States. It is also used to secure authorization to import such articles and serves as the authorization to the U.S. Customs Service to allow these articles entry into the United States.
