Short Statement: The proposed amendments in Release No. 33-9117 would require asset-backed issuers to register their offerings on new forms that would be solely for the registration of asset-backed issuers. The new collection of information entitled Form SF-1 will be used for non-shelf registration of asset-backed issuers. The proposal would result in an increase of 2,363 burden hours and an increase in the cost burden of $2,835,000 for services of outside professionals.
