In accordance
with 5 CFR 1320, this collection of information has been approved
for three years. OMB requests that when the agency considers
approval of the next version of the Volunteer Application and
Agreement for Natural and Cultural Resource Agencies that the
agency consider the option of using an electronic signature for the
forms. Additionally, OMB requests that all other federal agencies
that were previously relying on this ICR submit their own PRA
authorization before using the common forms included in this
package to collect data. Failure to do so will be a violation of
the PRA for those agencies.

With this submission, the
Agency will convert the information collection instruments to
"Common Forms", and will no longer account for the aggregate burden
estimates for all Federal agencies. The addition of a group sign-up
form will allow all members of volunteer groups to sign up as one
response vs. one response per group member.
OIRA authorizes any Agency to begin using a Common
Form associated with this ICR automatically after 5 calendar days
from the date the agency's RCF including the common form was
received in OIRA.
These common forms are utilized by
participating agencies including: Department of Agriculture (Forest
Service, National Resources Conservation Service); Department of
the Interior (National Park Service, Fish and Wildlife Service,
Bureau of Land Managmeent, Bureau of Reclamation, U.S. Geological
Survey); Department of Defense (U.S. Army Corps of Engineers); and
Department of Commerce (National Oceanic and Atmospheric
Administration).
